Norfolk’s Best Brunch Spots

Norfolk’s Best Brunch Spots

Norfolk’s brunch scene is strong, with a slew of options for all your weekend brunch needs. This list only begins to scratch the surface of some of Norfolk’s finest brunch spots, so there will most definitely need to be a part two. But for now, here are some superlatives for my favorite brunch spots in Norfolk.

Most Unique Brunch – Grandiflora Wine Garden

While I’ve already shared my love of this spot, their Turkish Breakfast is truly a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Whether seated in their secluded wine garden or their cozy bed and breakfast, you feel like you’ve been whisked away to Turkey throughout your dining experience. Their vegetarian Turkish breakfast comes out in three different family style courses, providing opportunity to share conversation and a delicious meal with loved ones. The owners grow some of their vegetables and herbs in a garden on-site, and the produce that isn’t from their garden is still locally sourced. Enjoy Turkish tea or coffee with your meal, or step it up a notch with a wine recommendation from the owners who always have the perfect pairing.

Best All You Can Eat Brunch – Volcano

Volcano is another quite unique brunch experience, as this sushi restaurant does an all-you-can-eat style lunch special every day of the week! From 11am – 3pm Monday through Sunday, if you have a hankering for sushi, Volcano is your spot. They also offer a range of other menu items outside of sushi, including appetizers such as pork gyoza and vegetable tempura, and main entrees such as chicken fried rice. Wash it all down with a dessert, including ice cream or mocha mousse cake. Check out the full menu of items included in the all-you-can-eat price here

Best Bang for your Buck Brunch – Brick Anchor Brew House

If you’re looking for a hearty, quality meal that won’t break the bank, check out Brick Anchor Brew House for brunch. They’ve got classics as well as entrees with a little Brick Anchor flair such as a “Brickfest burrito” and Nashville hot chicken & waffles. All options are sure to leave your stomach and your heart full. Check out their brunch menu here.

Best Brunch Buffet – Grain

If you’re looking for a grand experience, whether to celebrate a special event or just a new spot to grab a meal with the girls, this rooftop brunch spot is the perfect pick. Grain pulls out all the stops for their weekly brunch buffet. Aside from the waterfront and cityscape views that this restaurant offers, they have live acoustic music to enjoy as you peruse their premium food spread. There’s a perfect mix of breakfast classics with fun and unexpected options sprinkled in, such as a build your own taco bar. It’s all-you-can-eat, so you can breathe a sigh of relief when you realize you can’t fit everything on your plate in one trip.

Best Comfort Food Brunch – Toast

This brunch spot offers hearty comfort food perfect for a lazy weekend where you don’t want to cook. Brunch is offered Friday through Sunday from 10am – 3pm, specializing in chili and grits bowls, and open facing toast. Be warned, all the options are excellent, so you’ll have a difficult time deciding on what to enjoy. Whether a carnitas bowl, avocado toast, or French toast bread pudding, cozy and comforting comes in every form here.
